The Rundown: Wolverine and Jean seek a way to enter Limbo and confront Illyana.

Illyana continues her trip through her dark memories and thinks back on the moment that she went missing and what her brother Piotr would do and sacrifice to find her and bring her back. At the same time, Logan and Jean have been investigating thin areas of reality where they might find a way to enter Limbo and stop Illyana once and for all.
Finding their way into Limbo, Wolverine finds the people Illyana has been using to power herself before finding a dark memory and finally the ruler of Limbo herself.
The Story: Condon has consistently done a brilliant job of shaping and forming the world of these characters and ramping up both the tension and suspense of their stories. Unfortunately, this issue felt rushed both in story and pacing for me. I liked it a lot, but I was expecting more from the encounters and the final one just seemed to end abruptly. It’s possible that there is a twist coming and I look forward to seeing that play out if it is, but if it isn’t, I will be mildly disappointed that there wasn’t more of a satisfying payoff given everything that this series has been building to.
The Art: Cappuccio delivers stunning visuals throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the story a lot and how immersive the art is throughout it.
