The Rundown: Kara and Kal discover more danger in the universe

The last survivors of Krypton have found themselves crashed on a nearby moon being attacked by a creature before being rescued by members of the Lantern Corps. In the aftermath, the pair find themselves trying to get on a transport to Colu when Kara notices that they are being followed.

The Lanterns return to Oa and discover that a Czarnian gang is in the area led by Lobo. A gang that has kidnapped Kara and Kal in order to sell them to the highest bidder. When the Lanterns arrive to rescue the kids, a battle ensues that will see one Lantern fall and another unexpectedly taking their place.

The Story: Parker and Sheridan craft a thrilling, engaging story in this issue. I love the continuation of this story and where it brings Kara as she struggles to deal with a universe she’s never seen while trying to protect the only other person in her life in baby Kal. I love the dynamic between them and how fiercely protective she is of him. There is a lot of pent up emotion simmering beneath the surface of this character and it will interesting to see how she continues to navigate this adventure especially given what happens to her at the end of the issue.

The Art: Reis creates beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the look of this issue a lot.
