The Rundown: The Avengers gather as one decides about the future of the team.

In the wake of their battle with Kang, Carol Danvers decides that her time as leader of the Avengers has come to an end and she goes to each member of the team to see what they think about her decision. After speaking with Black Panther, Storm, Scarlet Witch, Captain America and Vision, she finally decides to sit down with Iron Man to finalize her decision, but the team has to say goodbye to one of their own first.

The Avengers regroup on the Twilight City, now known as Camelot, to say their farewells to the Twilight Court as they prepare for a new mission to bring justice to the stars. As the team reaches out to their roster to vote on a new leader who will assemble a new team, an old enemy gets a new purpose and the willingness to begin one final fight.

The Story: MacKay does a great job of bringing this arc to a satisfying conclusion filled with great character moments. There isn’t a lot of action in this issue and it doesn’t need it because this story is about the Avengers as people and I appreciate that. There is an interesting B story happening in the issue and I look forward to seeing how it plays out, but I am more interested in seeing what the new roster of Avengers will look like.

The Art: Karami creates some beautiful art the issue. The story is very character focused so there are some great shots and panels of the characters talking to each other.
