The Rundown: Val and Biana start uncovering more secrets about the woman they thought they knew.

After finding her friend Jill in a secret tunnel under a hill, Bianca is confronted by Val who knew the same woman as Cassie, a resident of the collective that she lives at. After bringing her to the collective, they discover that Jill/Cassie is still alive and they leave her in the hands of the collective’s doctor who promises to keep her presence a secret while Val and Bianca investigate who would want her dead.
The pair share notes about the woman they know and Bianca returns to her home in Willow Haven to get answers from Jill’s home when her husband leaves. Val confronts Cassie’s daughter and learns more about her friend’s past while Bianca discovers something disturbing in Jill’s home connected to the collective.
The Story: Gailey continues to craft an interesting and engaging mystery in this issue. I really enjoy the characters and how the story brings them together. There are some intriguing layers to this story and great suspense as Bianca tries to discover more about Jill. I am intrigued with the character of Jill/Cassie and the secrets she is keeping and every one that is uncovered just makes the story more compelling and makes me more excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Haining creates some beautifully detailed and visually engaging art throughout the issue. I really love the visual contrasts between the two worlds and their characters.
