The Rundown: Marcus’ world is turned upside down when his condition lands him in trouble with the law.
Marcus wakes up to discover that the woman he loved has not only been murdered, but that he is laying right beside her dead body surrounded by police. After being arrested for the crime, he passes out again only to find himself in an interrogation room where his online persona and activities are being picked apart by the investigator.
After being released with the help of his friends, they decide to stay with him while he sorts through information that might exonerate him. Unfortunately, that means teaming with the detectives to confront Jess’ violent ex-boyfriend.
The Story: Wagner continues to craft an interesting mystery in this follow up issue. The story immediately dives into some twisted and unique territory and I like not knowing what to expect next from any of the characters in this world. I am invested in finding out what is going on and cannot wait to see where this story takes me next.
The Art: Hilyard delivers beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue.
