The Rundown: To combat a demon invasion, a young woman becomes the ultimate weapon.

Thirty years ago, scientists accidentally opened the gates of hell and demons began to invade. As humans have learned to adapt and thrive to this new world, the demons continue their attacks knowing they can be driven back but not killed. Fortunately, humanity has a new weapon against the demons.

When a task force goes hunting for a demon in a building, they are attacked by one of immeasurable power. A scientist in charge of a new program unleashes the new weapon to stop the demons, a young woman infected by a demon in the womb and raised to hunt them, Morgan. Morgan is dispatched to hunt and kill the demon by devouring it and she is successful, but at what cost?

The Story: Jordan crafts an interesting, entertaining and inventive story in this first issue. There are some great moment of world building in the story and those moments make me curious about this world and its characters. There are some great moments of action in the story as well and I look forward to seeing what happens next.

The Art: Bivens delivers great art throughout the issue. I like the visual style a lot as well as the character designs.
