The Rundown: Batman travels to Metropolis to seek help from a friend, Lois Lane.

Superman is fighting off intergang when he gets an emergency call from Oracle telling him that an injured Batman is heading towards Metropolis and needs his help. After bringing him to the planet, he meets with Lois who has several contacts in the city and is one of the best investigators on the planet. After meeting with her contact at Star Labs, she and Bruce deduce that the virus had its origins there.

The pair go looking for another scientist on the list and discover not only that he knew Batman was coming, but that he was also working with Intergang. After interrogating him, he discovers that another link in the chain of events has been taken and Lois warns him that his exposure to the virus might be keeping him from seeing clues that could possibly save his life.

The Story: Taylor delivers another engaging and compelling story in this issue. I continue to be impressed with the mystery in this arc and how Batman is forced to rely on others. The dynamic between him and Lois is fantastic and I love how she is utilized in this story and what she manages to teach Batman during their time together. The story does a great job of expanding the story in ways that keep it grounded in Batman’s world while allowing for bigger moments to happen outside of it.

The Art: Janin creates awesome art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and the character designs a lot.
