The Rundown: Terrific leads his team into the depths of hell to find why the villains have stayed on the planet.

With the competition to take Darkseid’s power raging, Terrific and the remaining members of the League are trying to determine why supervillains have remained on the planet and have been upgraded in their powers. Tracing the upgraded powers to Neron, Terrific gathers a group of time displaced heroes including Superman Blue and Batman Beyond to traverse the depths of hell to find the demon and get answers.

The heroes make their way through hell, but their battle becomes dangerous as members of the team fall from their encounter. As they make their way through, the danger increases and not all of the heroes will make it out alive.

The Story: Waid raises the stakes throughout this issue as well as create some great moments of sacrifice for the characters in this story. I was impressed with how dark the story can get at times and love that the mystery within this story carries as much weight as the bigger story happening around it.

The Art: Mora’s art is beautifully detailed throughout the issue. I love the imagery both of the heroes and their journey through hell.
