The Rundown: A creature of legend is awakened by developers on Puerto Rico.

As hurricane Maria ravages the island of Puerto Rico, Loli worries about her sick father in the local hospital. As she watches the storm rage, she sees a strange creature running through the streets and also in the aftermath of the destruction before she receives terrible news.
In the present, Loli is fighting to stop a developer from destroying the land to put up a resort. After appearing with the man on a local radio show, she continues to organize the protest against him. When the company begins to break ground on their new resort, they awaken something hiding beneath the surface. Something that emerges to violently stop them.
The Story: Anta crafts an engaging, entertaining story in this first issue. I am already intrigued by the lore being created in the first issue and how it is linked to the island. Loli is an interesting and engaging character the Anta does a great job of making her a layered character that I want to know more about. The story has some great character moments and creates a compelling story that I look forward to exploring.
The Art: Irizarri creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I like the visual style of this issue a lot.
