The Rundown: Marian makes her final move against the cardinals as the city continues to burn.

After escaping from the fire with the help of Ravenna, Marian and the witch find themselves alone and as the city burns around them, an act of love will bring rain to put the fires out and bring momentary peace. Marian returns to her sisters to make them ready to take down their final obstacle and Ravenna tells Marian of a journey she must take when they complete their mission.
Marian leads her sisters into the fray and they land a decisive victory but it comes at a cost. As the new priest ascends, he sends a warning to Marian as she seeks out powerful witches with Ravenna. When she finally meets them, she makes the decision to forge her own path, but she pays a visit to the young pope to give him a warning first.
The Story: Howard brings this story to a dramatic, action packed and exciting conclusion. I continue to love the characters and their complicated relationships with faith and trust. I love Marian’s journey in this issue as she deals with loss and uncertainty before finding a path for herself outside of everyone’s systems. There is great drama throughout the story and I cannot wait to see more from this world and these characters.
The Art: Jaro delivers beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the character designs and the action is thrilling.
