The Rundown: Tony continues his hunt for AIM while his ex continues her latest experiment.

Tony’s memories go back to his past with Madame Masque as he fights alongside Steve Rogers trying to determine where AIM is hiding and where they are taking the scientists they have kidnapped. At the same time, AIM brings in an old foe of the Avengers to continue their experiment in trying to create a Tony Stark that they can control.

As Pepper and May work behind the scenes to help Tony, Iron Man travels to Madripoor to see an old enemy. After finding a vacationing MODOK, Iron Man threatens the villain only to discover AIM soldiers have landed but Iron Man is not their target.

The Story: Williamson crafts a thrilling, entertaining and fun story in this follow up issue. I really like the personal stakes for Tony in the story as well as the arc dealing with something he told Masque in confidence and how she is using it against him. There are some interesting moments with Steve as well and I like that there are things happening behind the scenes to protect Tony from himself. There are moments of great humor in the story as well including the MODOK moments.

The Art: Carnero crafts beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the character designs a lot and how immersive the imagery is.
