The Rundown: Penelope tells a story of her past when she embraced the darkness within her.

Hope and Penelope are making room in the bunker as new arrivals come in and during their cleanup, Hope not only continues to think about her sister, but also finds a mysterious list of names. Names with a connection to Penelope’s past before she became a vampire.
Penelope proceeds to tell her the story of her time in British intelligence and how a series of murders of female operatives prompted her to investigate only to find out the killer was one of their own. After being confronted by the killer, she is seriously wounded only to be discovered by the vampire that would change her life.
The Story: Beacham delivers an intense, entertaining story in this issue. I love returning to the world of Impact Winter and this story does a fantastic job of expanding that world through the story of one of the more interesting and compelling characters in the story. Seeing Penelope take a dark path through her pain and loss was engaging and I would love to see more stories in this world.
The Art: Kesign delivers some stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of this issue and the imagery is beautifully detailed.
