The Rundown: The cats look for a way to escape while the dogs discover a shocking truth.

Leland has been infected by the scientists and is brought back to the other cats who watch him being taken over by the infection. Lord convinces Elsie to be the leader he knows she can be and she works to free herself and the other cats, but they are quickly captured and two of them will be the next patients.

At the same time, Ghost finds a way to free the Stray Dogs and they make their way deeper into the facility. As they continue their way into the facility, they make a shocking discovery about what is happening to the animals being infected.

The Story: Fleecs crafts a story filled with suspense and terror. I love how the story is split between the two groups and how each group is discovering more about their surroundings and circumstances. There are genuine moments of fear throughout this issue as the cats find themselves captured again and the dogs not only continue to remember the circumstances that brought them together, but also what is really happening at the facility. I cannot wait to see where this part of the arc goes next.

The Art: Forstner and Rodriguez create beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and how it contrasts with the horror story being told in this series.
