The Rundown: Shaw makes a final push to stop the enemy super weapon, but opposition is intense.

The Narenian leader of the base protecting the super weapon is unsettled when an explosion causes his men to gather to investigate. He contacts the commander on the ground to inform of that this is a distraction as Shaw makes his way to the weapon and plants the explosives. The Major catches Shaw in the act, but the soldier manages to not only escape, but set off the bombs destroying the weapon before it can be used.

Waiting for the inevitable end to come, Shaw decides to go down fighting, but he finds himself receiving some unexpected backup. Fortunately for him, he manages to survive but he is not out of the woods both figuratively and literally since he is still behind enemy lines.

The Story: Remender crafts a thrilling, action packed adventure in this issue. There is pure action and intrigue throughout the story and both the action and suspense do not let up as the issue progresses. I like the level of adversity the character faces and his determination as he doubts everything including his own motivations. I like the cliffhanger of this issue a lot and cannot wait to see what happens next.

The Art: Acuna creates beautifully detailed and visually gritty art throughout the issue that perfectly captures the tone and mood of the story.
