The Rundown: Beast and his team attempt to stop an attack while saving an enemy mutant.

Beast and his team find themselves surrounded by Canada’s Department H who want to bring in the 3K mutant known as Schwarzchild. Unfortunately, the anomalies the comatose mutant is generating are putting everyone at risk and one of them causes the humans to go on the attack.
Beast tries to find a way to help the injured human troops while Quentin and Ben enter Schwarzchild’s mind to stop his attacks. To buy time for the plan to work, Beast gives Magneto something to stabilize his powers and Quentin discovers something in the mutant’s mind that could kill them all.
The Story: McKay crafts a thrilling, entertaining story in this issue. There is a lot of great action throughout the story and I love the tension between all of the factions involved. I really like the growing suspense within the story and how each part of the team rallies to do the right thing despite their personal issues towards their attackers. I also really liked having Beast remind the team members what being an X-Man really means.
The Art: Tony S. Daniel creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and Daniel is becoming one of my favorite artists.
