The Rundown: Violet runs into more danger on her trip with Walter.

Violet continues to travel with Walter who brings her into an underground location filled with sleeping spirits who still speak to the two of them as they attempt to escape. Once they make it to the surface, Violet continues to ask questions of the man before they are attacked, forcing them to retreat underground where they face a new and growing threat.
At the same time, Violet’s father is teamed with a man connected to the people holding him and tasked with rebuilding the wall separating them from the ghosts around them. After learning more about the man in charge, the two are attacked by spirits and are forced to find a place to hide.
The Story: Harms continues to craft an interesting and engaging world in this issue. I continue to be impressed with the characters and their circumstances. It is interesting to see how the story seems to be centering on Walter and I am interested in seeing what the significance of the character truly is. There are some great thrilling moments throughout the issue and those moments lead to some great cliffhangers for both Violet and her father.
The Art: Mavinga creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the stark emptiness of the world of this story and how it allows the characters and the environments to pop.
