The Rundown: With his wife and their world dying, Pigeon has one final chance to save everyone.

Soluna is dying and with her the world that she and Pigeon fought and bled to free from the tyranny of the old gods. Unfortunately, the people cannot wait for change and they begin to openly rebel including Pigeon’s sister Beatrice who joins with the rebels to tear down the temples built for her sister in law.

Pigeon sees one chance to bring light and rain back to the world with the cloud seeder. As the device begins to work, Beatrice and her forces attack. An attack that will bring destruction to the device and snuff out the last ember of hope Pigeon has left.

The Story: Remender crafts a dark, thrilling and emotional story in this issue. I love the progression of this story and its characters. Every moment has ripple effects that ramp up the tension and drama of the story and even the promise of hope leads to more destruction and drama for the characters. I cannot wait to see where this story goes next.

The Art: Araujo delivers visually compelling and stunning art throughout the issue.
