The Rundown: Speed is poisoned with a compound that makes him dangerously fearless.

Racer X teamed with the police after discovering that two criminal organizations have teamed up to produce a new and dangerous drug. One Racer X discovers gives the user unimaginable strength, speed and more. Speed finds himself fighting for position in a race where one of the drivers is moving across the track like a madman.
After getting doused by the fumes of a mysterious chemical the driver is using, Speed loses the race. In the aftermath, he starts to change and becomes aggressive towards everyone around him including Trixie. An aggression that everyone will notice in his next race and which will cause Trixie to reach out for help.
The Story: Pepose crafts a thrilling, entertaining adventure in this issue. I love how this arc brings Racer X into the story and how it has bigger implications beyond the family drama. I like the buildup of drama and tension throughout the story and where it leaves the characters, specifically Speed at the end of the issue. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
The Art: Tinto creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of this series and how the racing moments give you a sense of movement and speed.
