The Rundown: Speed must find a way to finish a huge race with a damaged car and a dangerous driver.

Speed discovers that the Mach 5 has been damaged during the Great Alpine race and the leader of the Car Acrobatic Team brags to his potential clients about his team as Speed finds himself driving out of control. Racer X moves in to give Speed some much needed help as the pair fight off the other members of the rival team and give Speed time to get to the garage and get the car fixed.
Sparky gets to work fixing the Mach 5 while Racer X takes on Jugger in his own damaged car. After leaving Trixie with something to think about, Speed gets back into the race and flies down the track on a mission to help Racer X and finish the race one way or another.
The Story: Pepose brings this race to a heart-pounding, exciting conclusion. There is amazing action throughout the issue and I love the teamwork between Speed and Racer X as well as the backstory moment for the character. There is a fun, exciting tone to the story as the action builds to a fantastic conclusion. I continue to be impressed with this series and cannot wait to see what happens next.
The Art: Tinto’s art style is amazing and perfectly captures the speed and suspense of a race. The character designs are exceptional and I really love how the art captures the tone and mood of the story.
