The Rundown: As her demon lord prepares his judgement, Sarah has more story to tell.

Before the Horseman can deliver the final blow to Sarah, she once again pleads for mercy and she recounts her life in the Western Woods with her sister after her mother’s death. A life that allowed her and her sister to return to Sleepy Hollow to help others while Sarah found herself falling in love with a young man from the village.
Unfortunately, the love will not last when she catches him with another woman and she uses her dark gifts for revenge. A revenge she attempts to reverse by calling on darker spirits to guide her. Spirits who will give her power as long as she takes what they need from someone that she loves.
The Story: Dawson continues to craft a dark, thrilling and engaging story in this issue. I love the desperation in Sarah as she recounts her story and how she continues to try to deflect and obfuscate from her own responsibility. There are some wonderful emotional layers in the story and I look forward to seeing just how dark things get for Sarah.
The Art: Jaro creates some beautifully detailed and visually dark and compelling art throughout the issue.
