The Rundown: A reporter finds herself in the middle of a strange and dangerous story.

Adela is an investigative reporter underground with a group of young potential Nazis and their leader. She has imbedded herself with the group in order to work on a story and her investigation takes her on an unexpected trip with the group to worship Odin himself in the mountains.
After making their way to their location, Adela is surprised to discover another person who joins them and is apparently funding their expedition. As they make their way into the mountains, Adela partakes in something that takes away her inhibitions as well as time and when she and the others awake, they discover something dark and disturbing.
The Story: Bennett and Tynion IV craft a dark, disturbing and intriguing story in this first issue. There is a darkness permeating both the premise and the characters and I am enjoying the places the story is taking me as a reader. It’s dark, atmospheric and trippy in a way that engaged me and makes me want to see what happens next.
The Art: Cadonici creates beautifully rich and atmospheric art that perfectly captures the tone and mood of the story.
