The Rundown: The Fantastic Four find themselves dropped into a cosmic mystery.

A group of aliens have invaded Earth and are threatening to stop its rotation in order to colonize the planet. The Fantastic Four leap into action and fight off the attack, but it will take some quick thinking from Sue to get the aliens to beat a hasty retreat. Thinking that will also get the attention of Maria Hill who is looking for help in resurrecting SHIELD with the Fantastic Four’s help.

As the team contemplates the repercussions of bringing back SHIELD, the Baxter Building is invaded by Wizard who has gotten through all of Reed’s security. In the aftermath of taking down the villain, Reed discovers why his security failed, how it is connected to a pattern located throughout the universe, why that pattern has changed and why the message embedded in it is directed at Sue Storm.

The Story: North crafts an engaging and thrilling story in this issue. The story does a brilliant job of showcasing the brilliance of Sue Storm and it makes the reveal at the end of the issue more impactful and interesting to me as I was reading it. I really enjoyed the action and adventure in the story as well as the family dynamic and was intrigued by the Maria Hill proposal and what it could mean for the future of SHIELD. The final pages of the issue tease an interesting direction for the story and I am interested in seeing where the story goes from here.

The Art: Ramos delivers stunning art throughout the issue. From the characters to the environments, everything looks amazing.
