The Rundown: Sophie finds the final member of the party, but their escape from DIE might not be as easy as she thought.

Sophie gathers the rest of the party together to keep them in one place while she goes to find the final member. As they look for a place to stay while they wait, Sophie calls on one of her patrons who decides to tell her the story of the land she is visiting before transporting her to the sea where she finds a ship and makes it to shore.

After traversing the island, she finds who she is looking for and discovers that this child of Chuck has a specific reason for coming for DIE and is the reason they are all there. When she betrays Sophie, she uses her as a means of resurrecting Chuck, but when she finally decides to leave with Sophie, someone else emerges who has plans for him and the rest of the players.

The Story: Gillen crafts a dark, thrilling story in this issue. I love that the story has such personal stakes for the characters and there is great insight into these characters through Sophie. There are some wonderful dark twists and turns throughout this issue and a great reveal that makes excited to see where the story goes next.

The Art: Hans delivers beautiful art throughout the issue filled with stunning detail. I love the visual style of this series and this issue is no exception.
