The Rundown: Diana goes on a rescue mission and Barbara is given a dark choice.

Diana has escaped and is going after Circe. After discovering that she is gone, she follows the clues and begins to suspect who is really behind the attack. At the same time, soldiers make their way to Diana’s base and discover Steve ready to greet them with some bad news about their plans.
Barbara is locked in a cage with the dead body of Cheetah and is visited by an entity who promises her power. As she investigates the dead woman’s past, secrets are revealed and she must make a choice about what to do next. Wonder Woman takes to the hills to regroup and is paid a visit by the one responsible for her mother’s disappearance.
The Story: Thompson crafts a compelling, engaging story in this issue. I continue to love the world being created in this series and the characters that inhabit it. There is real emotion in Diana’s journey and I love the parallel with what is happening to Barbara. I found myself engrossed in this issue and cannot wait to see where this story goes next for both characters.
The Art: Snook creates some beautifully stylish art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and how it captures the tone and emotion of the story.
