The Rundown: Superman and Hawkman take on Black Adam.

Carter Hall remembers the compromises he made to those in power as he contemplates his real mission. A mission to kill Superman. He recounts that initial meeting as he, Superman and Steel find themselves battling the newly freed Black Adam.
The three find themselves being consistently outmatched in power by Adam who is determined to complete the mission he began centuries ago, but Hawkman will reveal something that will shatter him while giving Superman something that could end Adam’s threat once and for all.
The Story: Aaron continues to craft a thrilling adventure in this issue. I loved the backstory for Carter Hall and how it connected to Adam and his story. Hall is the primary focus of much of this issue and his slowly realizing there is something special about Superman is a great narrative touch. It adds some great stakes and drama to the story. I really enjoyed the buildup of action throughout the story and the cliffhanger makes me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Sandoval and Cifuentes create some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of this story and the final page of the issue has some of the best art I’ve seen in a while.
