The Rundown: Klaus is making a movie and will use his new production to settle some scores.
Klaus has gathered all of the assorted and sordid players plaguing his life in one location to film an epic that will put Viv back on the map with Hollywood and give Shivers a chance to reunite with his dead wife. As the production moves along, Klaus decides to kill two birds with one stone by infusing the soul of Shivers’ wife Abigail into Viv to tell him something she wished she’s said a long time ago.
With one obstacle seemingly overcome, Viv and her demon form remain the one issue that still needs to be dealt with. Klaus will have to use his brains and cunning to find a way to both save a friend and send Viv to the eternal reward she richly deserves.
The Story: Way and Simon bring this story to a satisfying conclusion. Klaus is given a lot more presence in this issue and is in more control of the events. There are some fun moments throughout and they enhance the energy of the plot. The story moves a lot quicker than the rest of the series did and that can be a little jarring, but everything comes together in some unexpected and satisfying ways.
The Art: Culbard delivers some great visuals throughout the issue. The lightness of the plot is perfectly captured in the visual choices.
