The Rundown: Orchis begins the next phase of their plans for the mutants.
Orchis has been working behind the scenes to bring down Krakoa and the mutants for some time and their plans are bearing fruit as they’ve gotten info on the portals as well as a device that affects the mutant medicines the world has been taking.
At the same time, the X-Men take on an Orchis mobile facility that is offering a mutant cure and they discover that the organization has been upgrading their warriors using the discarded remains of Wolverine.
The Story: Duggan delivers an entertaining story that has some great action and interesting teases of things to come from both the mutants and the humans plotting their destruction. While I enjoyed both the intrigue and the action, the issue felt way too short for the amount of story being told within it. Other than that, it teased enough for me to want to read on.
The Art: Cassara delivers some great art throughout the issue. The visuals are beautifully complementary to the tone of every scene.
