The Rundown: X-Force tries to stop Cerebrax before it consumes every mutant on the island.
Kid Omega takes to the skies to find Cerebrax who has chosen its next target, an unsuspecting Black Tom Cassidy. At the same time, Wolverine is injured and sends Domino to hunt down the rogue AI. As Sage dispatches Jean to warn everyone on the island, she gets a visit from Omega Red who she hopes is coming to help.
Cerebrax chooses its next target, Quentin. In order to get to him, it decides to go after Phoebe to draw him out. Omega Red comes to the rescue just as Quentin comes into give an assist. As they work to stop the threat of Cerebrax, something happens in the aftermath that will change everything about Kid Omega.
The Story: Percy delivers a thrilling story filled with action, humor and horror. I love the hunt aspects of the plot and how the whole thing feels like a horror movie. I really enjoyed seeing Omega Red have a bigger part in the plot and everything leads to some great character moments for Quentin. I’m excited to see what happens to the character in the aftermath of this story.
The Art: Gill delivers some wonderful art in the issue. There are some great action moments that perfectly complement the thrilling nature of the story.
