The Rundown: Forge creates a new team to take on a series of world ending threats.

Forge has decided to do something about a rising number of strange phenomena that threaten the world. Something that will require him to create a new clandestine team to take on the threats personally to save the world from behind the scenes.

After getting a few recruits together, he makes his way to Japan to take on an unknown threat. After finding a former student, this new X-Force finds itself taking on the remnants of one of Sinister’s experiments that threatens to destroy everything it comes in contact with.

The Story: Thorne crafts an interesting story in this first issue, but it has some flaws. The first being that there is nothing in this story or team dynamic that gives me the impression that this story has the legs to last very long. It tries too hard to be cool and there seems to be no character development allowed within it. There are some cool moments in the story and some great action and humor toward the end, but the premise unfortunately is forgettable.

The Art: To crafts some great art in the issue. The visuals are fun and beautifully detailed.
