The Rundown: With her Asgard adventure behind her, Diana must discover what has happened to Olympus.
Diana returns to Olympus only to discover destruction and blood all around her and none of the gods in sight. Armed with little information, she and Ratatosk discover the half dead body of someone neither of them recognizes. Using an instrument of healing, Diana is able to help the man who she discovers is directly connected to events through his other half.
After discovering who and what he is, Diana turns to an old friend who might be the only person who can help her on the next leg of her journey. A journey to find the dead Olympians. A journey that will take her to the graveyard of the gods and an even bigger mystery.
The Story: Conrad and Cloonan bring Diana to familiar ground and drop her into an interesting mystery. While there isn’t a lot given away in this issue, the mystery and investigation elements of it make it an engaging read. What makes the story more intriguing to the reader is Diana’s history with the pantheon of Greek gods and how the new character introduced in this story mixes with them. I am interested in seeing where this story goes next and what twists the narrative takes.
The Art: MacDonald does great work with the art in the issue. The landscapes are beautifully detailed. The characters look great and there is a great mood set with the art and its style.
