The Rundown: Dimension Chi might be the last place the fleeing Amazons ran to and Diana’s desire to find them will make her blind to the true danger she faces.
Diana and her friends are trapped in Dimension Chi and Wonder Woman thinks this is the one place where she might find the missing Amazons. Ignoring the warning of her friends, she sets off to find them and finds herself face to face with a nightmare version of Empress Hippolyta.
The trio fight was looks like a losing battle with the crazed Empress and the only way to stop her is to take a desperate leap into the unknown. When they emerge, they will face a familiar face and the possibility of a bigger adventure ahead.
The Story: Wilson does a great job of continuing to focus on Diana’s feelings of loneliness and how those feelings are effecting her judgement. The pace and dialogue of the issue are great and there is a feeling of immediacy in the story. Wilson is creating some amazing stories for Wonder Woman and I can’t wait to see where she takes the story and the character next.
The Art: Jesus Merino and Xermanico deliver amazing visuals in this issue with great looking characters, action and beautifully detailed backgrounds.
