The Rundown: Diana and Maggie find themselves staring down a rampaging minotaur as the sword of Antiope seems to be signaling for its owner. With no way to go back or forward, Diana and Maggie decide that the only thing they can do is fight.
As Wonder Woman and Maggie fight for their lives, Atlantiades and Aphrodite argue about whether or not to help them. The demigod makes her decision as the portal begins to close and she joins the two women in the fight as more dangerous and vicious creatures emerge from the depths of the pit they find themselves in. As the sword continues to search for its owner, Diana discovers that they have stumbled into a dangerous world that she is all too familiar with.
The Story: G. Willow Wilson wraps up the previous arc with satisfying character moments and an intriguing mystery. Wilson does a great job of creating an interesting and eclectic supporting cast for Diana as well as taking the time to explore Diana emotionally. The next arc is set up in a way that makes me interested in seeing what happens next.
The Art: Jesus Merino and Tom Derenick shine with the art in this issue. Every page is filled with great detail and all of the characters look amazing. The minotaur sequence is fantastic and all of the action works.
