The Rundown: The vampire nation is on a mission to thrive and they need Wolverine to do it.
Ever since they kidnapped and took his blood, Wolverine has been taking a personal role in taking down Dracula’s vampire hordes. Tracking them all over the country, he roots out and destroys their nests. Unfortunately, that isn’t enough as Dracula’s man on the inside Omega Red is being positioned to deliver the one person Dracula needs to finally end the vampire aversion to sunlight, Logan.
While both sides conspire for their own ends, Logan returns to Paris to seek out Louise and discovers that her order has been betrayed by the vampires as well. Both sides continue to plot and plan while Logan finds himself caught in the middle as bait for one side and the prize the other side seeks.
The Story: Percy does a great job of keeping this story focused on Logan and his mission. The story is taking a dark and interesting turn for the characters and it is going to be more interesting to see how this story unfolds. Wolverine’s fight against the vampires has a heightened level of intrigue that makes it more compelling and I am fully on board with this story arc, its characters and its twists.
The Art: Eaton delivers some great art with a classic comic book flair. I love the character designs as well as the way panels are framed to highlight the mood of the story.
