The Rundown: Wolverine and Maverick fight their way out of Madripoor but the battle is just beginning.
After snapping Maverick out of his wind wipe, the two former Team X members have to fight their way out of an underground auction swarming with people who want them dead. Things get more complicated when the CIA gets involved with the purposes of bringing in both mutants for their own purposes.
After a daring escape, the pair head to Maverick’s submarine to meet up with his team and Logan agrees to a mission that will destroy any chance of getting more from them. Unfortunately, the forces in the government aligned against them have plans for an object close to Logan and they might be getting some help from the inside.
The Story: Percy continues to bring action and intrigue into this series and this issue is no exception. The wrought relationship between the characters is perfectly laid out and that comes to play at several moments in the story. Moments that showcase that there are still forces gathering against Krakoa and some of them are too close for comfort. I can’t wait to see where the story goes next.
The Art: Kubert delivers some beautiful imagery filled with energy and tension. The action elements are perfectly balanced with the character moments.
