The Rundown: Sara attempts to resist the Witchblade and everything it offers as she continues to investigate a personal matter.
Sara is having dark and disturbing dreams about the Witchblade and what it is potentially doing to her. Things become more intense for her when she wakes up and finds Ian in her apartment uninvited. After throwing him out, she decides to abandon the Witchblade and continue working on who killed her father with the help of her friends.
After running into multiple dead ends, Sara decides to embrace the Witchblade and allow it to help her find a clue that will bring her and Michael to the home of a friend of her late father. A home infested with something dark and an unexpected visitor.
The Story: Bennett delivers a solid and compelling story in this issue. I love the conflict Sara is dealing with in the issue and the boundaries she begins to set. I love the drama of Ian violating those boundaries and the emotional and physical conflict that creates. There is great drama in the story and I love the dark elements at play and how those elements craft a story that I am completely engaged in.
The Art: Cafaro’s art is visually exciting and beautifully detailed. I love the visual style of this series and how every page has something to see and enjoy.
