The Rundown: Sara continues her investigation into the murder of her father unaware that she is being watched.
Sara cleans up her apartment after being attacked by a possessed enemy. In the aftermath, she returns to the precinct knowing that many of them are corrupt and someone knows what happened to her father. What she doesn’t realize is that she is being watched by someone.
After seeing the only people she can trust, she reveals the amulet and what it is doing to her. She then goes to see the victims involved in the case she was working and is confronted by a mysterious and powerful man who seems to hold his own against her and the power of the Witchblade.
The Story: Bennett continues to craft an intense and entertaining story in this issue. There is a wonderful buildup of tension throughout the story and I enjoy internal conflict the character is dealing with and how complicated her world is both before and with the Witchblade. I enjoyed the inner monologue a lot and look forward to seeing more of her world unfold as the series progresses.
The Art: Cafaro delivers some beautifully detailed art that has a wonderfully sharp and intense visual style.
