The Rundown: Zel and Connor Hayes find themselves at a new site with new killers.
In the wake of the loss of Wilmhurst, Zel takes her survivors including former agent Connor Hayes with her to a new site filled with serial killers. After introducing them, tension builds with the current site manager who doesn’t take kindly to Zel taking control. At the same time, two more survivors find themselves on the road in an interesting adventure.
As Connor is brought to another location, he is locked in a room to deal with the dangerous entity known as Vilmos while Zel attempts to resurrect one of the former residents and take care of an annoyance.
The Story: Starks crafts an intriguing premise and a welcome return to the strange world of these serial killers. The story is interesting and the characters continue to be lively and engaging. I like all of the strange politics in the story as well as the supernatural elements that I was not expecting. There is some great tension throughout the story and I look forward to seeing where it goes next.
The Art: Kowalski delivers powerful and visually engaging art throughout the issue. I love the character designs and the surreal imagery.
