The Rundown: Stygian and Barrera investigate the grave of his recently deceased apprentice.

Barrera is in the hospital being patched up after their recent encounter at the farm and Stygian gets a visit from Maru who tells him that he needs to tell the younger priest the truth about what they are facing. At the same time, Stygian reveals that there might be something bigger at play than a simple possession.

When Barrera is released, the two men discuss what is happening and Stygian shows the man aspects of what he’s learned before the two travel to the local graveyard to see what happened to Father Varden. Seeing his grave empty and the man himself walking around, the two priests give chase, but an accident will put both men in serious danger.

The Story: Moreno continues to craft an intriguing and engaging mystery in this issue. I continue to be impressed with the characters and the world being built in this series. There are some great character driven moments throughout the issue and everything progresses into an interesting mystery towards the end that makes me excited to see what happens next.

The Art: Rebelka delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and how well it works with the characters designs and subject matter.
