After landing Robert Pattinson in the title role of Matt Reeves foray into the DC Universe, many have been wondering who else will join Pattinson in Gotham City.
According to Deadline, Westworld star Jeffrey Wright is in talks to take on an iconic role in the upcoming Batman film. According to the article, Wright is in talks to play Gotham City Police Commissioner James Gordon in the Matt Reeves helmed film. Gordon is Batman’s contact and confidant in the Gotham Police Department and utilizes the Dark Knight to take down Gotham’s colorful band of villains.
Jeffrey Wright is known for his roles in films like Shaft, Casino Royale and Only Lovers Left Alive along with television shows like Boardwalk Empire and Westworld. Wright will next been seen reprising his role of Bernard on the upcoming third season of Westworld. He will also appear as CIA Agent Felix Leiter in the upcoming 25th James Bond film No Time To Die.
The Batman is expected in theaters June 25, 2021.
