Westworld recently began its second season on HBO and it looks like the series got some early good news.
According to Deadline, Westworld got an early renewal notice from HBO and there will be a guaranteed season 3 of the series from executive producers Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan.
“It’s been an extraordinary pleasure to work with the exceptionally talented Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, as well as their gifted cast and crew,” said Casey Bloys, President HBO Programming.. “From the inspired storytelling to the incredible visuals, we are so excited to see where the next chapter will take us.”
Westworld is a huge hit for HBO and the series has been bringing in good numbers for the subscription service. Often seen as a successor to HBO’s other big hit series Game of Thrones, Westworld has been nominated for 22 Emmy’s in its first season, taking home five. The series shows no signs of slowing down as the mystery of the park seems to be getting more ominous as the show progresses.
Can’t wait to see how this season ends and what season 3 has to offer.
