Disney+ debuted in 2019 with a slate of both classic series and original programming that drew in millions of subscribers anchored by acclaimed series like The Mandalorian and others. Now there’s news that another new original series will debut earlier than expected on the streaming service.
According to Deadline, the Marvel Studios original series WandaVision, based on the characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will debut on Disney+ in 2020 instead of 2021 as originally stated. WandaVision will be one of several MCU based series coming to the service including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk and Moon Knight.

Actors Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen will reprieve their roles of Vision and Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlet Witch for the series. The show will also star Kat Dennings, Randall Park and Kathryn Hahn. While details of the series are kept under wraps, the show will reportedly have ramifications for the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward including Elizabeth Olsen’s appearance in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
