The Rundown: Henry Frankenstein continues to go mad as his experiment kills to be free.
A police officer finds a dangerous man robbing someone in an alley and as he gives chase, the encounter leads to his and the assailants violent deaths. Deaths that will allow Fritz to find the brain Henry needs to complete his experiment.
In the aftermath, Henry’s fiancé and friends try to convince him to end his experiment while Fritz tries to use pain to train the monster and keep watch over the boy he found in the laboratory. Unfortunately, he will lose both as one risks everything to escape while the other chooses violence.
The Story: Walsh continues to make a compelling and entertaining story in this issue. This new take on the classic monster story has some interesting twists in both the development of the characters and how the story is being told from the point of view of a new character with a connection to the creature. I am invested in the story of this boy and how he will shape events to come.
The Art: Walsh perfectly captures the dark and compelling imagery necessary for this story. I loved the visual style of every moment especially with Fritz and the monster.
