The Rundown: The expedition races towards Aurora and finds another threat waiting to stop them.
Fifteen years after the sealing of America, Doctor Kellogg tells the story of his connection to Aurora and the purpose of Zone Bounty. As he sacrifices himself to end his connection to the country, he warns his genetically created children against outsiders that would derail their purpose.
As the team races across the zone by train, two members solidify their alliance in the wake of the reality of the United States while two others solidify their relationship in other ways. When the train is attacked, the team must fight to survive the assault while also seeing that the track comes to a deadly end.
The Story: Snyder and Soule deliver another thrilling and thought provoking story in this issue. There are some character moments throughout and the continued conflict between the characters adds awesome drama to the story. I love seeing this world continue to grow and evolve while giving the reader more insight into the characters and their complicated relationships.
The Art: Camuncoli and Marcello Grassi deliver beautiful art throughout the issue. I continue to love the look of this series and the characters including the exaggerated elements created for the action.
