Old friends become new enemies as the plan to destroy the X-Men begins.
Natural disasters and rampaging dinosaurs are the distraction from the bigger threat as the split teams start to get the upper hand in their fights. The one fight that they are struggling with is the one against the swarming army of Madrox dupes looking for Kitty Pryde.
While the adults rush to join the other team fighting Madrox, the students get a surprise visit from David Haller aka Legion. The mutant is offering to help the young mutants as the group of protestors continues to grow and become more violent.
Jean amplifies she and Psyclocke’s powers and discovers where the real Jamie Madrox is located. Back at the mansion, David goes full Legion and attacks the students before the rest of the team arrives and a new group of horsemen arrive bringing destruction in their wake.
Everything about these new Horsemen are interesting and more menacing than anything Apocalypse has unleashed before, especially with the reveal of their apparent mission. It’s going to be interesting to see how Rosenberg, Thompson and Brisson tie this group into the missing Apocalypse. I enjoy how integral Kitty Pryde seems to be in this story and her connection to these events and the mystery of her disappearance has me intrigued. This was a fun issue with some great twists that are continuing to build into something new that I am on board for.
