The Rundown: Oliver learns the dark truth about his existence and the world he is part of.
The story of the animated world is revealed as its history unfolds amidst our own. As things continue to take shape, a leader with a very familiar face emerges to lead his people as look for answers. A leader who discovers that their world is connected to another and the events of that world directly affect their world and its people.
At the same time, a young girl with an illness retreats into the world of cartoons on her television before finding herself emerging in the animated world when she gets older. After finding health and love in that world, she does something unexpected. Something with a direct connection to Oliver.
The Story: Fleecs crafts a fantastic story in this issue. I love diving into the lore of this world and its connections to the history of animation. The story continues to create some great moments for the characters and the reader. I really enjoyed this story immensely and continue to look forward to what strange and interesting things Fleecs will create as the story progresses.
The Art: Wachter delivers beautiful art in the issue. The visuals are fun and interesting and deliver some great emotional moments right to the end of the issue.
