The Rundown: Peter and Harry decide to learn more about their new technology while Fisk receives a visit from a powerful ally.
After being defeated by Kingpin, Spider-Man and Harry Osborn decide to learn more about the technology powering their suits. Questions that can only be answered by Otto Octavius who decides to unlock more of their suits’ capabilities and allow Harry to enable a familiar AI to help guide him.
At the same time, Fisk receives a visitor who offers to help him with his problems. An offer he rejects due to his own plans for the heroes. As Peter and Harry spar in their new suits, they receive an unexpected visitor.
The Story: Hickman continues to create a wonderfully rich and unique new world for Spider-Man in this series. The story is emotionally complicated and delightfully engaging as Peter tries to determine who he is with the new powers he has. I like seeing that he is unprepared for what is coming, but the world will not give him the time he thinks he needs. It adds more suspense to the series and allows for that suspense to grow and lay seeds for more interesting conflicts to come.
The Art: Checchetto delivers beautiful art in the issue. The character designs and action are brilliantly detailed and there is a wonderful visual tone to the story that draws in the reader.
