The Rundown: Howard Stark loses a friend and has some questions for his new alliance.
In the aftermath of the attack on Latveria, Howard Stark finds himself stuck with the rest of the delegates that were attacked. As he tries to socialize, he discovers some harsh and interesting truths about the world, its conflicts and the part he plays in them before the Maker arrives.
After meeting with the Maker, Howard has a heart to heart with his son Tony and is encouraged to do something dangerous. At the same time, a ruler gathers his forces and prepares to bring down the world and the Maker along with it.
The Story: Hickman creates a compelling and interesting morality tale in this issue for Howard Stark. I love the political and philosophical debates within it, but there might be too many of them and not enough exploration of this world and its changed characters. The Maker persona continues to be interesting and I love the focus on Howard in this issue. The story has some great build up to a shocking and compelling reveal that makes me excited for the next part of the story.
The Art: Hitch delivers some beautiful art in the issue. The story is very character focused and Hitch does a great job of conveying the complex emotions of the characters in this issue.
