The Rundown: The Maker continues to remake his new world, but he needs someone on it for the next part of his plan.
The Maker continues his plans on this new Earth and those plans include preventing a high school kid from getting bitten by a spider, placing a different brother on the throne of Asgard, stopping four adventurers from being hit with cosmic rays and placing Howard Stark at the forefront of technology and innovation with his partner Obediah Stane.
As Howard gets more restless at his life and takes to building suits of armor, he and Stane are called to Latveria along with other dignitaries to meet with the mysterious Marker himself. When they are attacked by clones of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the Maker uses the attack to convince Stark that there is a bigger threat coming for them all.
The Story: The mystery within this series is getting good. I love the layers of the Maker’s plans and how those layers have created a unique and wholly interesting world. I like the progression of the story and how interesting and unexpected the reveals are. I also really enjoy the unpredictable nature of the story and how it can continue to excite, entertain and intrigue all at the same time.
The Art: Hitch delivers some beautiful art in the issue. I really love the attention to detail of the characters as well as the thrilling action. A great looking issue.
