Star Wars Celebration continues in England and audiences in the arena were treated with not only new footage from the upcoming Ahsoka series coming to Disney Plus, but also confirmation of who will be playing two key characters in the series.
According to the panel, Lars Mikkelsen (The Killing) who voiced the character of Grand Admiral Thrawn in the Star Wars Rebels series will bring the character to life in live action for the upcoming Ahsoka series. After taking the stage with Filoni, Favreau and series star Rosario Dawson, Mikkelsen said of returning to the character; “It’s wonderful,” he said to the crowd.
Another announcement made during the presentation is that the droid character Huyang is returning for the series as well. Huyang was voiced by David Tennant (Doctor Who) in the animated series and won an Emmy for his performance. Tennant will return to voice the character in the upcoming series as well.
