Rod Serling created the classic series The Twilight Zone, which ran for 5 years on CBS. Now it looks like the network is interested in revisiting the Zone with Jordan Peele.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Peele’s production company Monkeypaw and Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy, Daredevil) are in talks with CBS to bring back the anthology series. CBS Corporation CEO Les Moonves announced the potential series on a company earning’s call Thursday and intimated that the series would be going to the network’s streaming service CBS All-Access.
CBS All-Access has already had initial success with Star Trek Discovery (which is driving huge subscription numbers and has been renewed for a second season) and is adding new original content to the service including The Good Wife spinoff series The Good Fight and others. No additional details have been given since Moonves’ initial announcement so there is no info on whether The Twilight Zone is only in development or if its gotten a series order.
